Unit
The Northern Ireland e-Government Policy Unit is a branch of the Delivery and Innovation Division which sits within the Department of Finance and Personnel, a
Department of the Northern Ireland Executive. Bill McCluggage is Director of Delivery and Innovation.
Our
Responsibilities
- to
develop policies, strategies, standards and guidelines for IS/IT in the
public service in Northern Ireland and to take forward initiatives in
respect of electronic service delivery;
- to
provide leadership and guidance to Northern Ireland departments and the
wider public service in delivering customer centric government services
consistent with the requirements of the Programme
for Government; and
- to
foster strong professional relationships with private sector companies
and local universities in furtherance of the provision of electronic
service delivery.
Our Vision
The
Unit has a vision "to modernise the relationship between the citizen
and government in Northern Ireland" with a mission "to provide
strategic direction and leadership on the application of modern
technology to transform and improve the interaction between the citizen
& their government in Northern Ireland".
